Grapes variety: Barbera 100%
Yield per hectare: 7 tons
Green vintage: during July and August we remove the excess grapes bunches.
Vintage: by hand with grapes selection.
Wine production: soft treading, wine production in small barrels of 50 hl with daily re-pumping and pressing: apple-milk-acid fermentation, decanting and rest until its natural clearness is complete.
Maturation: in spring it is drawn off in wooden barrels of 50 hl where it stays for 12 months at least. Afterwards it is bottled in the best period and left still resting in laying bottles before being sold.
Organoleptic features:Strong ruby red colour verging on garnet. Dry bouquet, with notes of small fruits of the forest, walnut-husk and chestnut .
Full-bodied in mouth with a good persistence and pleasantly fruity at the end.
Keeping way: laying bottle
How to serve it: we suggest to uncork the bottle and decant it at least half an hour before tasting it. Serve at 18/20 °C.
It is suggested: with tasty dishes, roasts, braised and grilled meats and mature cheese.
Advised glass: tulip reserve.
Ageing: it is a great red wine, which improves after an ageing of 4/6 years.
